The Star 500 Series are manual wheelchairs designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. Models 506, 508, 514, 516, and 518 are standard manual wheelchairs. Models 520, 522, and 524 are heavy duty manual wheelchairs. Models 616 and 618 are recliners. FRAME: Steel. Anti-tips are available. SEAT: Seat widths are available in 14 inches (model 514); 16 inches (models 506, 516, and 616); 18 inches (models 508, 518, and 618); 20 inches (model 520); 22 inches (model 522); and 24 inches (model 524).The seat depths are 14 inches (model 514), 16 inches (models 505, 508, 516, 518, 520, and 522), and 18 inches (model 524). The seat is equipped with straps for folding and a seat belt is available. UPHOLSTERY: Padded with a chart pocket. ARMRESTS: Fixed arms are on models 506 and 508. Removable desk-length arms are standard on models 514, 516, 518, 520, and 522. Removable full-length arms are on models 524, 616, and 618. BRAKES: Hand controlled. Brake extensions are available. WHEELS: Mag wheels. FOOTRESTS: Swing away or elevating footrests are available for all models. OPTIONS: I-V pole, and oxygen tank holder. CAPACITY: 175 pounds (model 514); 275 pounds (models 506, 508, 516, and 518); 300 pounds (model 520); 350 pounds (model 522) and 400 pounds (model 524). WEIGHT: 33 pounds (model 514); 37.5 pounds (models 506, 508, 516, and 518); 50 pounds (model 520); 52 pounds (model 522) and 62 pounds (model 524). WARRANTY: Limited lifetime warranty on steel frame.
