The user holds the front of the unit against a surface (paper, cloth, wood, or plastic), and the color name is spoken. The device has three user-selectable volume levels. A clip-on cover protects the sensors when the device is carried in a pocket; the cover clips onto the back of the case when the device is being used. The case has been ergonomically designed for both right- and left-handed use and can be held in several different ways. An earphone is also included. OPTIONS: Available in Danish, English, French, Italian, Norwegian, Serbo-Croatian, and Swedish. POWER: Uses 9-volt alkaline battery (included).
