VoiceCare Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) is an emergency alert system with monitoring service designed for use by senior citizens and individuals with disabilities in need of medical and personal assistance. The system is comprised a of two-way voice console unit that connects to an existing phone line, and a lightweight waterproof personal activator with an illuminated help button, worn around the neck or wrist. If assistance is needed, the user presses the button and the console unit dials the H-LINK Medical Monitoring Center, which opens a two-way voice connection with a trained response team. Even if the user is unable to speak, the response team knows the caller's name and address and whom to contact. The system is automatically reset after activation.
