TextSound is an audio file creation program designed for use by individuals with low vision. This text-to-speech file converter can batch convert text documents in .txt format to spoken audio files in .wav or .mp3 format. There is no text size limit. The program can be used to listen to documents, e-mails, e-books, or Web pages. Before they can be converted, files must be added to the conversion list using either drag and drop, a pop-up menu, the program's Add button, or a directory command line. The conversion list can be saved for later use. The program is compatible with a variety of text-to-speech voices, which can be configured for speed, pitch, and volume. The program includes a Windows Edition and a Command-Line Edition (TSC.EXE). This 32-bit console application works like an MS-DOS program and does not have a window, but must be run under the same operating systems as the Windows Edition in use. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP operating system.
