The AtGuard Wander Management System is an indoor protection system for maintaining freedom of movement for residents of senior living and assisted living facilities. The AtGuard system consists of an exciter, a controller, and a keypad which are mounted at exits, elevators and secure areas. The AtGuard Door Controller Package is used in combination with electromagnetic door locks to control access through a door or elevator when the coded identification tag, worn by the resident, is in the vicinity. When the resident approaches a protected zone, the exit door will automatically lock, or the elevator will remain open until the tag is removed. If the protected area is breached, an audible alarm will sound at the zoned area and a staff alert panel mounted at a remote location. The alarm will sound at both locations until a code is entered into the keypad mounted in the zoned area, forcing a staff member to visit the breached zone.
