The HomeSenser is a stove safety sensor designed for use by individuals with cognitive or memory disabilities or Alzheimer's disease. The system includes a power box that controls power to the stove and a monitoring unit with a motion detector that monitors the appliance's use and sensors to track the state of the stove controls. The monitoring unit will display a green light when the stove is off. When the stove is turned on, it displays a yellow light. When the monitor detects no activity for 6 minutes, the light changes to flashing red and an alert sounds every 10 seconds. After 8 minutes of inactivity, the stove power is turned off. To restart cooking once the stove has been shut down, the user must manually turn all stove controls to the "off" position and
stand in front of the HomeSenser's remote sensor for at least 3 seconds before turning the stove on. The HomeSenser is compatible with electric stoves only. POWER: Works with 120/240 volt alternating current (AC) (3- and 4-wire connections). WARRANTY: One year limit warranty for defects in material and workmanship under normal intended use and service.
