The Hemiparesis Subluxation Sling is a hemiplegic shoulder subluxation support designed for use by people with stroke or brain injury or arm or shoulder injury. It was developed specifically for a person who had a stroke and suffered pain caused by shoulder subluxation. This sling consists of two elastic arm bands (one for each arm) with non-elastic cloth ends with hook and loop closures. Each band has a semi-elastic strap permanently mounted on the top front of the band and one strap grommet and one quick-release buckle mounted on the top rear of the band. Once the bands are attached to each arm over the biceps, the two are stretch back over the shoulder to attach to the rear of the band on the opposing arm. A strap runs across the user's back from arm pit to arm pit with a hook and loop adjustment for lateral support of the shoulder joint. SIZES: Slings are sized according to the diameter of the biceps for sizing (e.g., a user with 14-inch biceps needs a size 14 sling); sizes 10-15 kept in stock and custom sizes are available. WEIGHT: 12 ounces. COLOR: Black or white.
