The Shoprider Smartie, model UL8W, is a powered wheelchair designed for use by individuals with lower extremity, mobility or neurological disabilities, spinal cord injury, or arthritis. FRAME (LxWxH): The overall dimensions, including the footplate, are 36 x 23 x 37 inches. The ground clearance is 2 inches, and the turning radius is 15.5 inches. Rear anti-tips are included. This portable chair can be dismantled into three parts for transport. The base is available in red and blue. CONTROLS: VSI joystick controller. RWD: Two 0.45-horsepower motor rear-wheel drive. SEAT (WxDxH): 18 x 17.5 x 19 inches. The seat to floor height of the captain seat adjusts from 19 to 22 inches. UPHOLSTERY: Grey vinyl. ARMRESTS: Padded armrests with adjustable width, height and angle. BRAKES: Electronic brakes. CASTERS: 6-inch front casters. WHEELS: 8-inch rear wheels with flat-free tires. FOOTRESTS: A removable fold-up footrest with adjustable height, length and angle; other legrest kits are optional. OPTIONS: Mesh oxygen tank holder, can holder kit and walker holder kit. POWER: Uses one ENVIROFRIENDLY Battery Pack. An off-board 3 pin 2 amp battery charger is included. SPEEDS: 3.75 miles per hour with a travel range of 10 miles and a maximum climbing angle of 6 degrees. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. WEIGHT: The total weight with batteries and seat is 93 pounds.
