The Phonics Pro Reader is a reading tutorial program designed for use by children between the ages of five and nine years with cognitive or learning disabilities. This interactive unit use a multi-sensory approach to teach the alphabet, phonics, spelling, reading, and rhyming. The interactive system utilizes illustrated Talking Word Cards, a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen that displays words, and verbal cues and responses. The help button repeats instructions and provides clues to answers when needed. The system enables the child to create more than 450 three-letter words and a rhyming function expands vocabulary up to 615 words. The phrase button puts words into sentences. The keyboard features three-dimensional lowerr-case letters in the order of the alphabet. The unit includes 20 Talking Word Cards , card storage, a headphone jack, a parent's guide, and automatic shutoff. POWER: Uses four double-A batteries (included). OPTIONS: 100 additional Talking Word Cards are sold separately.
